Happy 2nd Birthday Ezra!

Happy 2nd Birthday to my little man, Ezra!
Some days it is hard to believe that he is already 2 years old!  It feels like just yesterday Max was calling (while he was deployed), telling me he was coming home early for R&R, and I was feeling that rush of amazement that he would be there for the birth of his son.

I remember when Ezra arrived, and being there, in that delivery room, pushing this tank of a boy out of my body, and being overjoyed when he came out.  And how the Doctor and the nurses were so shocked at how big he was (10 lbs, 2 oz), even though I had tried telling them he would be big!
Other days, it's easy to realize he is 2 - those days when we battle with tantrums and screaming and boundary pushing - the days when my patience is stretched thin and I just want to hide away instead of dealing with the responsibility to train up this little son who can be so stubborn and determined.  Those days I know we have entered the "terrible twos", and I know that he is no longer a little bitty baby!
Although we do have some of the toddler tantrums and testing, Ezra truly is a joy, and I feel so blessed that I am his mama.  He is funny, loves to laugh, and is hardly ever sitting/standing still.  He can be quite the little daredevil, but he is also cautious.  He adores his sisters - he mimics every little thing Eliana does, and he loves to kiss baby Evie.  He talks a lot and likes to dance and sing.  He loves noodles, peaches, and yogurt a LOT!
We spent our morning celebrating his 2nd birthday with balloons, a trip to the pet store (he LOVES to go and see the puppies, kitties, birds and fish!) and a trip into Dunkin Donuts for a special birthday donut.  He picked out the star with green icing and sprinkles!  The rest of our day will involve playing outside with new toys, pigs-in-a-blanket for dinner, and an ice cream treat for dessert!

Happy Birthday, my sweet little Ezzy!
