AZ Vacation Photos: The Zoo

Monday, August 06, 2012

While on vacation in Arizona, we were able to go to the Reid Park Zoo, in Tucson.  We had a blast spending a (hot and sunny!) morning there, looking at and interacting with the various animals.
It's not much of a secret that I am in love with giraffes.  They are such beautiful, elegant creatures.  I could have stood here all day, watching them.
One of the most memorable experiences at the Zoo was feeding a giraffe.  Both of the babes got two carrots and were able to feed a giraffe!  It was SO amazing, at least for their mama, ha!!
Because we went early in the morning (in an attempt to beat the heat...which didn't work much...), many of the animals were out and active!
On the way home, we were treated to an Eegee - so refreshing and cold and delicious - perfect after a hot morning walking at the Zoo!  Don't let the photo fool you - L shared with her mama ;)

  2. How fun! I love the zoo! Your babes are getting so big. I'm laughing at L's tongue hanging out like the giraffes when she's feeding it!

  3. I love giraffes too!! Have you ever been to Colorado Springs? They have the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo there and you get to feed and pet the giraffes. It's my favorite part and I can't wait until we bring Penny there!
