Aimee & Becky visit, part 2: Monterey Bay Aquarium

Wednesday, August 21, 2013

It is no secret that we love the Aquarium (or fish, or pretty much anything related to the ocean) around our house.  So it should come as no surprise that we took Aimee and Becky to the Monterey Bay Aquarium while they were here visiting us.  We got to see lots of jellyfish, sea turtles, fish, sharks, seahorses and sea dragons, penguins and puffins, sea birds, and lots of other sea creatures/plants.  Such a fun afternoon outing to the Aquarium!
 Jellyfish!
Love that we at least caught one of us!
The weedy sea dragon.  Seriously, one of our favorite exhibits ever.  We love seeing the sea dragons...they are incredibly fascinating to watch!  This one, if you look really closely, has pink-ish "pearl"-like eggs that he (yep, the male carries the eggs) is carrying under his belly.  I thought it was so cool to see all those eggs that he was carrying!
Watching the sharks and rays with Auntie Aimee and Ms. Becky.  Eliana & Ezra were basically obsessed with these two women the entire time they were here!
