Dino hoodies & dandelion flowers

Friday, March 22, 2013

We rode/walked down to the park last week, and I couldn't help but bring my camera along to snap some pictures.  And then I started snapping way too many pictures.  Wait, is that even possible?!  I love documenting and have those memories captured, you know?

Y'all, since when did my babies get so big?  They are growing up, and it really is crazy how fast it is happening!  I found some newborn photos of Eliana the other day, and looking at them made me feel like I was right there.  It felt like I had just had her.  And then I blinked and remembered that there are now THREE babies, and they are here and they are precious and crazy and hysterical and mischievous and wild and sweet all rolled into one.

Ezzy loves his dino hoodie - it's too cute, and he wants to keep the hood up all the time, so you can see the spikes.  And random note, but I feel like only a 3-year old thinks dandelion flowers are the most beautiful - Eliana LOVES picking them and always asks to save them in a 'safety jar', which is her term for vase!

We've been busy this week.  I have sat down a handful of times to share photos of some of the fun things we've been up to, in the midst of prepping for our move, and then something comes up or Evie wakes up or the kids are ready to go out to play, and I haven't had the time to blog.  Which is ok, because I can't do all the things, you know?  But, I miss blogging, and sharing our stories.  I miss recording on this little online space we call our own.

I feel like we've been busy, and not, all at the same time.  I've been tackling little projects here and there, in between playing with/disciplining/cleaning the kids - and slowly, but surely, we are getting things done around.  The movers come in 2 weeks.  2 WEEKS!  Eeek!  That'll be here so soon!  And we'll be leaving in 3!  Ca-razy!

Evie has been extra fussy the past couple days.  Not sleeping well, fussy during the day, wanting to be held a lot - I don't know if she picked up another little cold, or if she is teething.  Time will tell, I suppose.  Otherwise, she is doing well.  Hard to believe she's just about 6 months!  Rolling all over, scooting herself back like a worm!  She is definitely on the go!

Oh!  In facial hair news...Max shaved his mustache off!  He came home the other day, and it took me a bit to notice, but I guess he woke up that morning and decided it was time for it to go.  Not gonna lie, I don't miss it one little bit :)

Eliana and Ezra are currently watching Dumbo.  We are working (finally getting to it!) on the letter D today.  Our verse is: "Do not let your hearts be troubled. And do not be afraid." John 14:27, and I think we'll color a picture of Jesus riding on a donkey, since it's Palm Sunday this week.  We don't have much planned this weekend, aside from continuing to work on crossing things off our running move to-do list, and having some (hopefully!) relaxing downtime together.

Hope y'all have a lovely Friday!
