Lessons on the Porch.

We spend a lot of time out in the screened-in porch, as long as it's not TOO hot out (this pregnant mama from cold Minnesota is not handling this southern, humid summer so well...) - driving the cozy coupe car, riding the trike, coloring with chalks, splashing in the pool, sitting in chairs, eating snacks.  It's a great place to be outside, enjoying the sounds and sights of summer, while being in a shaded, semi-bug-free area.  We have learned a lot out on the porch this summer...
...how to stay physically fit...
...how to share and take turns...
...even in spite of tears and pouty lips...
...how to drive our car, and ride on our trike...
The porch has been a wonderful place to retreat to when the indoors is getting a little too "small" or "boring" for the moment. We make the short trek through the door and spend time soaking up summer, learning about spiders and spilled ice cream and sunshine in our eyes.
It's a beautiful place to be.
