Friday Favorites.

Today, during nap time, I have somehow managed to clean the house, catch up on laundry, bake cookies, get dinner thawing, and take a shower.  I am not sure where the mass amount of productivity or motivation came from exactly, but I'll definitely take it!  It feels good knowing that things are done, and it's the weekend - makes me excited to just enjoy our days off as a family!

I thought it would be fun to share a few links to some things that have stood out to me this week.

I heard this song -  You Lead - a few weeks ago, and it has been in my head ever since.  I love it and have also been enjoying listening to a Pandora 'Jamie Grace' station.  It's awesome.  And this one - Love Is Not a Fight - which I hear every so often, is fantastic and gets stuck in my head too.

A dear friend told me about the Jesus Storybook Bible a few weeks ago, and after checking out the website, I ordered our very own copy.  It is AWESOME and we love it.  The last week or so, we have been reading a story or two each night before bed.  Last night, I was pulling it out, and L says, "Nana [she refers to herself as 'nana'] likes the Jesus book, mama".  It was way too cute and I loved hearing that from her.  If you haven't heard of it, definitely check it out!

I read a few blog posts that totally hit home with me.  If you are looking for some 'mom-spiration' or encouragement, read this and this.  And for some reason, this blog post was really interesting - not that my hair is really all that long, but I found it fascinating to read more about "training your hair" to be less greasy.

These snicker doodle cookies are the ones I just whipped up.  They turned out so good a few weeks ago, I had to make another batch.  I've been trying to eat really, really healthy - cutting out most flour, white rice, white potatoes, dessert (cakes and cookies and chocolate) - and have been doing really good.  But it's the weekend and I thought Max might like some cookies when he got home.  Plus, I figured I'd just freeze most of them for his lunches next week!

I haven't heard the babes in their room yet, which means I still have a few more minutes of mama time - totally gonna go have some quiet time for a bit before they wake up and the crazy begins all over again!

Happy Friday, friends!

I WISH Penny took long naps so I could get some stuff done... these 30-45 min naps are exhausting to me!
