A Thursday Song

Thursday, April 19, 2012

I have grand plans to blog the rest of B's visit this week, as well as FINALLY get around to doing my (late!) 12 in 2012 for April post, and also share some pictures of the babes.  But today, it's just a few thoughts and a song.

I heard this song today on the Pandora station we were listening to, and it made me smile and sing along.  I used to listen to it a LOT, but haven't heard it in awhile, so figured it would be fun to share!
{linking up with Goodnight Moon}

I've had an itch to switch up a few things on the blog lately.  Max says I like to change things frequently - I think that's why I like getting haircuts, or moving furniture around.  They are easy changes and help my days not seem so routine, I guess.  We'll see when I get around to blog, or how long it takes me to work on a little design, ha!

My son is currently pulling everything out of a drawer in the kitchen.  It's been his mission for a few days.  He pushes a chair over, climbs up, and takes everything out of the drawer.  It's the miscellaneous pen/medicine drawer.  He stuffs all the pens in a box, and then shakes each pill bottle.  It's quite funny, actually.  He stays very busy for quite awhile.

It's a cold, dreary sort of a day.  Which is ok - sort of a welcome change from all this sun we've been getting.  Now, don't get me wrong.  I need the sun.  Big time.  But a grey day, once in awhile, is quite nice.  We didn't have big plans for the day, so we may have taken an outing to Dunkin Donuts for a coffee/donut treat this morning.  The kids each got a munchkin, and I've been enjoying an iced coffee and apple fritter.  Oh my word.  SO delicious.

I've had a lot of thoughts on time lately.  Been trying to percolate through them in my brain.  I think it's about time I started typing those thoughts out.  Maybe it would help me sort them out better.  I have just been struggling with the idea of time, and getting things done/being present - and have been reading a few things that have been really making me think and shift my perspective.

18 weeks pregnant today.  Ultrasound is in a few weeks, and it'll be the first one that Max has been able to be at, which makes me excited!  We have plans to not find out the gender, which we are both excited for!  Talking through names has been quite fun the past week.  We have a few narrowed down, but then we find new ones - there are SO many names out there!  I have been feeling really good, and have even been waking up early lately.  I try to get my workout in before the kids wake up, which really seems to make my whole day go smoother.  I've been doing some awesome workout videos - I'll have to share those soon!  My energy levels have definitely increased in the past few weeks, and it's been a welcome change from the first trimester.  Although, I am surely ready to fall in bed right after the kids each night.  They wear me out during the day!

Ok, I suppose it's time to get lunch made and help Ezzy put the drawer back in order.  I am hoping for a big nap this afternoon, so I have a little mama time - maybe I'll even get to work on the blog a bit then!  Hope y'all are having a great day!

  1. I love that song. #1 on my playlist right now :)please share your workout video titles. I'm in need of some inspiration and something easy for me to get to. The gym is just...too far Ha! Or maybe I'm just too tired (or lazy!)

  2. Good song :)
    Glad you have been more energized lately. We have always said that if we were to have more kids we would not find out the gender either. Although I'm not sure I could stand to wait! How fun it will be for your husband to be there for the ultrasound!

  3. This was mine and my husband's song during the second deployment. Ahh whenever I hear it I can't help but smile.

    I feel that not finding out the gender until birth is the coolest thing ever. I love when I hear/read about people doing that. I don't think I'm strong enough to do that.
