A moment to myself.

Here I am, finally, with a moment to myself.
After a busy week of entertaining visitors, keeping up the housework, making meals, taking care of babies and trying to find time for sleeping, I have a moment to blog.
I honestly can say that people that can blog everyday are awesome.
I don't really know how they do it.
I can hardly find time to sit down and think most days, let alone put my thoughts into words on the blog!

We've been busy.
A week ago, my dear cousin, whom we call Auntie Alison, and her boyfriend, Nick, came to visit.
We had a lovely three days filled with loads of playtime, NC foods, tours of the area and beach trips.
Max had to be at the rifle range all of last week, but we were lucky enough to have him home for a few hours each afternoon, to see our guests.
I am eager to share photos of their visit, but they must wait.
I was a bum and didn't take a single photo.
Probably because I knew Alison was.
I will tactfully acquire copies and get them up soon!

Pretty much as soon as the babes and I got home from dropping Auntie Alison and Nick off,
 our next house guest arrived.
Ms. Amy, fiance to Mark (one of Max's dude friends), came to visit for the weekend.
We had a great weekend chatting, playing games, going to the beach, eating yummy desserts, checking out the carnival on base and just hanging out.
It was good to have Max home after his week at the range.
And it was fun to have more visitors here at the house.
It definitely did not leave me much time for blogging though :)

We said goodbye to Ms. Amy this morning and have had a low-key day getting the house back in order.
The babes are doing well.
L has been faithfully swatting flies every chance she gets.
And the Z man is still rolling ALL over the place.

A few weeks ago, Max and I attempted to get some photos of the babes.
L at 18 months.
Z at 6 months.
I'm not sure if we managed a good one of the two of them, but oh well!!
I'll be sharing more as the week goes on, but here is a little sneak peek for ya!

I am excited to have a bit of a quieter week around here.
And I have a few things I am excited to share on the blog.
That blasted delicious recipe that I've been meaning to share MUST get up soon,
because y'all are seriously missing out.
Not only that, but there are some more photos coming and a few good stories!

The moment to myself is once again coming to an end.
Story of my life.
I wouldn't have it any other way!
I hear the babes in the monitor, waking up from their naps...

  1. They're adorable! I'm begining to appreciate the quiet moments as well. Some mornings I get up early when the hubs and babe are asleep just to have some 'me time' before the day begins :)
