28 weeks preggo!

Tuesday, August 03, 2010

Y'all! I am 28 weeks preggo today! That means that I am entering the 3rd trimester - technically that's the home stretch! Woot! I am just getting so excited to meet this little man and find out what he is like (plus, meeting the little man equals seeing Max not too long after!!!)!
28 weeks with the little man.

I am sitting here eating chocolate graham crackers with peanut butter on them - I just had the munchies like CRAZY! That's a good before-dinner snack, right?!?! I am feeling good. Tired, as always. Some days my belly gets a bit tired too - but that's probably because I crawl around on the floor with L and she climbs all over me and the belly (I can get her to "smooch" the belly too - it's terribly cute!). The little blueberry man is growing and feels super strong. Sometimes when he punches/kicks/head-butts me, my entire torso moves around. And lately he's taken to curling up on one side (I dunno how he squeezes himself) of my belly (usually before bed) and putting lots of pressure on my belly. I don't know what it'll feel like in another 4 or 8 weeks - Yikes!

I have been slacking on the Prenatal Yoga the last few weeks, which I should get back on track with. I was feeling so good after doing it - it really helped stretch out my tight muscles. But I have been walking, probably 5 days a week, and sweating out a storm (it's also been horribly humid here lately, which never helps the sweating situation...)! Starting to think about how I am going to arrange our room (all three of us will be sharing a room here) and what else I need to have on hand for when the little man comes out to meet us. I have also been buying lots of cute little clothes for the little man. It's just way too much fun! Plus, those sale items ALWAYS get to me :)

The most adorable little shoes for the little man. I couldn't resist them :)

Super cute outfit Bibi bought for him. Love it.

His monkey sleeper! I love the feet!!! And it's super soft and fuzzy - perfect for winter!

I am a sucker for all things "I love Daddy".

And just so you know I still love L - a fall outfit for my sweet girl!

I am starting to swell a little bit. Last year, when I was preggo with L, in the last two months, my feet/ankles got SO incredibly swollen. So did my fingers, although I didn't think much of it because I wasn't really wearing any rings. However, this time around, my wedding ring has already started getting a bit snug. In fact, I almost can't get it off at the end of the day, which makes me feel a little claustrophobic. So I haven't been wearing it the last week or so. Which just feels wrong. I am so proud to be married to Max and to have that symbol of our commitment to one another! So, I got a cheap, fake ring to wear while my hands are swollen. I can't stand the thought of having a "naked" ring finger now. And although I will be eager for the day (as soon as I pop this little guy out) that I can put my own wedding ring back on comfortably, it's nice to have a ring on my finger again. At least I've only noticed the slight swelling in my hands - I am apprehensive for my ankles/feet to swell - they got SO bad last year!
The fake, cheap ring. My ring is WAY cooler, trust me! I love LOVE love my wedding ring. But this will do until I can wear it again.

And I'll leave you with spaghetti face...

  6. Kaylee: YOu can wear your wedding band on a chain around your neck in the meantime. That's what most people I know have done when their fingers got too swollen to wear the ring :)

  7. Laurianne - I thought about wearing my ring around my neck and still may do so. This will be really dorky, but I keep thinking about how hot I get in the summer and how gross it would be to have my ring sticking to my neck when I get sweaty, ha ha - I think that's what's keeping me from it at the moment! But I definitely think it's a great option! Thanks!
