A little flashback for your Friday.

I have been slacking on taking pictures and video this week, even though we've had a fun week, filled with Ezra learning to blow and give kisses, Eliana watching some of the Disney princess movies, making my own slippers, etc. And I haven't had much inspiration for blogging, to be honest. I don't know if I am tired or have been lonely with Max out of town, but there are just not many thoughts ready to come out in a blog post yet. Oh well, some weeks are like that!
Anyways, I was looking through photos a few weeks ago, and came across a picture of my pregnant belly, right before I had Ezra. And I was in shock - it was such a HUGE belly!!! I stared at it for awhile, and remembered those months, carrying precious babies inside of me. And then I realized that I have TONS and TONS of photos, all filled with memories. I thought I would share a few with y'all today!
Here you have Max & Kaylee, circa 2008. Did you know my husband had longer, white-blond hair? And a lip ring? Now you know where my kids get their light hair!
Ok, storytime. When I was 10 years old, we raised a little yellow Labrador Retriever, named Matti, to be a Leader Dog for the Blind. We had her for one year, and in that year, we spent a lot of time socializing her and getting her used to all kinds of people, places and situations. We took her back when she was 1-year old, and she was further trained to be a Leader Dog before being placed with a blind woman for almost 9 years. Fast forward to 2008...I was in college...sitting in Swahili class, to be exact...and received an urgent message from my mom. I called her back and she informed me that she had just got a call from Leader Dog, and that Matti had retired. They wanted to know if we wanted to adopt her back (and needed an answer pretty much that day!).
So, on my 22nd birthday (one of the best birthday presents EVER!), my dad and I drove to Michigan, to pick up my beloved Matti. It had been 10 years since we had seen her! She was much older and was recovering from being sick, but she was still Matti, and everyone swears that she remembered me! Matti came home to live with us, for another year, before she died, exactly 11 years from the day she was born. I loved that dog.
This picture was taken 3 years ago...both of us were caught sleeping, ha ha...
2 years ago, on Thanksgiving. Baby L, and mama.
A little over 1 year ago. VERY pregnant with Ezra. Seriously, that belly doesn't even look real to me!
1 year ago, Max was home to MN, for some R&R during deployment. I heart.
Ezra. Newborn Photo Shoot. 1 year ago.

Can you believe how little (ok, he was huge...10 lbs, 2 oz at birth!) he was?!
And lastly, on Thanksgiving, one year ago, L got to play outside in the snow. Basically, we froze our pants off, but what can I say....it was fun!!!
So there ya have it! Some flashback for your Friday!
Have a lovely day!
