The little things - boxes, tea parties & family

Friday, October 28, 2011

I've been reading Lindsay's blog for a few months and am always inspired by her 'little things' posts - it helps serve as a reminder that I need to stop and, sometimes intentionally, think about the little things that I am thankful for - because when I stop and really look at my life, there are so many little blessings that God is giving me, all throughout each and every day. I need to learn to be more aware, and more thankful for each and every one!

So, today, I am thankful for...

...boxes that become objects of play for hours, and for a Daddy that thinks he fits inside...
...for little girl tea parties...
...and for the Great-Grandma's that think it's imperative to pass along that tea party fun...

...for family visits, and the conversation, laughter and love that comes along with them...

...for little girls who love to get into everything, even though it means a big mess (that turned into a little learning opportunity!)...
...for my dear husband, who convinced me, on impulse, that dying my hair was a splendid idea, and that he would be the one to do it (it's black, BTW)...
...and for a handsome little boy (who is going to be 1-YEAR OLD (!) next week), who fills up our hearts with huge smiles and laughs.
I am linking up with Lindsay @ Aisle to Aloha today!

  6. Tea parties are one of those things that ALL little girls must grow to love. Or else, well, or else the world will just fall apart. How adorable though are your children! I love seeing daddies play with their babies :) Makes me want one... or five to seven... ;)
