hello. it's my birthday today. i am now 24 years old. weird. nothing too exciting going on around here. went out to lunch with my parents at a super delicious indian buffet. we will have a big family celebration on saturday...my cousin's birthday falls this week as well, so we've celebrated together for years...it's a lot of fun! it's been a good day though. only thing that could make it better would be to hear from my husband! it's been three weeks since i've heard anything, which is a bummer, but i know that he is busy and that he'll call when he can, so i am trying to wait patiently (which, let me just say, is extremely hard for this preggo girl to do!!!).

what else is new? besides loving this weather. it's been chilly every morning, but by late-morning, it gets so warm outside. it's been just lovely. makes me so excited for the hot days of summer! i got my hair cut yesterday, which was much needed. i'll try to get a few pics up in the next few days. i have had a whole long list of stuff to get done for a couple of weeks now. i just haven't been very motivated to work on any of it! i need to find my motivation though and just get things done! i am currently working on re-organizing my room. because L and i share a room, and the new baby will also share our room with us, i have been feeling like i need to organize more efficiently, to better utilize our space. so i have been working on purging un-necessary or un-used items and finding ways to organize in such a way that more effectively uses the space we have. things are a bit messy right now, but at least i am working on it! i have a job interview this week, as well as a few other prospects. i know it may seem silly to look for a job when i can only work for another 6 months, but i'll stop in a week or two if none of these prospects work out. i am just looking for something part-time, with possible evening and weekend hours, so that my parents could help with watching L (and cut down on childcare costs).

L refused to eat her avocado today! it was the first time she has ever refused to eat something. and we've been doing food for a month now! she turned her head and clamped her little lips shut. would not eat them. she had one bite, spit the second bite out and then she was just done. oh no. the stubborn is coming out :) but she did get to eat mashed potatoes the other night, all by herself. she spent a good hour working on them and thought it was the greatest thing ever. made a good mess and probably only got a third into her mouth, but it was fun to watch her try to eat them! i have been taking lots of photos lately, so here is the first batch. there are more to come, so stay posted :)
