Yikes.  Is it really already September?  Ha!  As if I didn't know!  This going-to-have-a-baby-this-month has made me VERY aware of the time.  We are just so excited to meet this little one...and me, the impatient mama/planner is getting overly anxious to have him/her here with us, out of my belly!!  Soon!

{Quick sidenote: I am 39 weeks pregnant today.  I had a Doc appt yesterday, and there is absolutely nothing new to report on the baby front.  No signs of baby yet.  At all.}

Anyways, back to my 2012 goals, and the rundown of how I am doing:

1. Community Living: I started a Women's Bible study at church last week.  It was good, and I am excited to go again today.  I am liking the study so far, and it's been good to go chat and get to know some other women - puts a smile on my face.

2. Physical Activity: I am still working out 4-5 times a week.  When I look at my belly, I don't really know how I am actually getting myself moving, haha!  But I know it's so good for me, and the baby, so I keep motivating myself to turn that pregnancy workout DVD on as much as possible.  Plus, it helps keep my body loose and not as achey, as well as helps my moods.

3. Read 15 books: This past month, I did not touch a single book, except my Bible and my Bible study book.  I have not had any desire to read lately.  None.  Although I was thinking of taking a trip to the library this weekend.  Having a good book to read might help the time before baby comes go by quicker!  Any good suggestions for my next book?

4. Manual photography skills: No significant improvement here.  Just trucking along, shooting photos in manual, doing some "self-learning".

5. Outside walks/playtime: The weather is cooling off a bit, which I LOVE!  We have been on the porch multiple times a day, playing with chalks, eating snacks, playing in the pool, or riding our bike/car.  It's been awesome.  Max and I have been trying to take the kids out to the park a lot of nights after dinner.  It helps them burn off energy and makes bedtime SO very much smoother.  Plus, we all get a walk in, and the kids love to play at the park.  So it's a win-win for us all!

6. Creative and structured toddler activities: Nothing new here.  At all.

7. Journal consistently: This has been on/off lately.  Some days I jot a few things down.  Other days, not so much.  Basically, there is room for improvement.

8. Date night 1x/month: We tried to go out for a date night at the beach a few weeks ago.  It was sort of a fail.  We left a lot later than anticipated, so by the time we got there, it was pretty dark, and the tide was in, so there wasn't really room for walking.  Once we got back in the car, we didn't know what else to do (and had very low fundage for our date night), so ended up just coming home.  Oh well.  We've had some "date nights" at home, on the couch, watching movies a couple of weekends.  I'll take it.

9. Grow a garden: My garden/flower bed did great this year, but many of the plants are on the tail end of their growing/blooming time.  My tomato plant is still producing tomatoes, and I am still getting some herbs.  Most of my flowers are gone, which is fine.

10. 10 min/day of "Be still and know" time: The past month has been great.  I've been really trying to make 10-20 minutes each morning, reading through Proverbs with #SheReadsTruth, and reading through the Psalms.  It's been good, for my heart and my soul.

11. Craft time: My motivation for crafty endeavors comes and goes.  I worked on a few baby items, and  messed around making felt flowers for a few things.  Nothing huge, but the little time I spent upstairs, sewing and hot-glueing and cutting, was good and relaxing.

12. Baby #3: Can come out whenever it pleases!  We are way excited to meet our little one!  Any day now!

My motivation and enthusiasm to work on my 2012 goals has been pretty minimal this past month, and I don't foresee the next month being much different.  Having Baby #3 and working through the transition to a family of 5 will prove to be quite the adventure.  Although, I do know that some of the goals are ones that will simply happen along the way, so am eager to keep them in mind, as the next few weeks go by.
