Flowers and wings.
Wednesday, August 24, 2011I took these photos a few months ago, when we were visiting my Great-Aunt and Uncle in Charlotte.
They make me happy - the colors and the lovely details of the flowers - makes me smile.
I want these flowers in my garden next year - they are called Lantana, and I am in love!
I love capturing little creatures.
Half the time, I don't even notice them until I put my eye to my camera and look through it.
It's fun and they are fascinating to watch!
Um, hello....can I have a vase full of the following two, please?!
Ok, forgive this interruption from the pretty flowers and little winged creatures, but I thought I would share the verses that have been getting me through this week. They come from the book of Micah - I was reading through, late one night and Max happened to glance at what I was doing. He quickly proceeded to lead me to these verses, and I've been clinging to them the last few days.
"But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD;
I wait for God my savior; my God will hear me.
Do not gloat over me, my enemy!
Though I have fallen, I will rise.
Though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light.
Because I have sinned against him, I will bear the LORD's wrath,
until he pleads my case and upholds my cause.
He will bring me out into the light; I will see his righteousness."
Micah 7:7-9 (NIV)
I know he's not really in focus, but I still liked that he was hovering over the flower.
It was cool to watch him do his thing.
Oh! And before I forget! I FINALLY updated the About Max & Kaylee page on the right. Go check it out! I have hopes to get Our Little Ones done in the next day or two - and add a wedding recap page as well! Enjoy!
