It's Sunday evening.

Yesterday morning, Max took Ezra out on some errands. Evie was napping, so it was just Mama and L. She asked if she could do some painting, which I gladly agreed to. It's much easier doing painting with only 1 kid to keep track of! Sweet girl went through eight pieces of paper, before we finally put the paints away - I think she could have painted all day long!
Our weekend went by too fast - that's what happens when your husband has a weekend duty. I'll be honest and say that I was not overly excited to send him off this morning. I just wanted another day with him, but oh well. It made yesterday all the sweeter, right?! We had a lazy day, with plenty of snuggling and movies and chocolate treats. It was nice to just hang out together, with no agenda - especially after what felt like a long, busy week.
We welcomed our first houseguests - yay Aimee and Becky! - just over a week ago, and it was SO much fun having them here. We went on a lot of adventures - to the beach, to the Fisherman's Wharf, to the Aquarium, to San Francisco - plus, basically had girl's night every night...lots of chocolate desserts and ice cream, a little too much moscato, and an introduction to New Girl. It was sad seeing them on their way, and I think that's why I've been in a bit of a funk the last few days - oh the bittersweet sting of having dear friends here to visit! Makes me cherish, and then miss that time that much more.
I am excited to share pictures of our adventures this week. I uploaded them earlier, and it was fun scanning through them! But for now, I am off to lay in bed and watch New Girl...

Fisherman's Wharf is one of my favorite places! Love it. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you had fun with your friends! And I tried painting with Sam (2.5) and I just... I can't. It totally stresses me out. Maybe it will be different with Molly (one day in the very distant future). ;)
ReplyDeleteBoo for weekend duty! Never any fun.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see all your adventures!
L looks like she loves arts and crafts! So focused on her painting!
