Evie @ 8 months

My sweet, sassy little Evie is 8 months old today. I feel like she has been growing a lot - lately when I pick her up in the middle of the night, she feels like a small toddler already - where has my squishy newborn gone?! Evie is doing really well. She sits up on her own, scoots around on the floor, and rolls if she wants to go somewhere faster. She will push herself on her hands and knees, and then does some strange yoga-esque moves, with her head on the ground and her hiney up in the air. It's cute and entertaining to watch. I wish I knew what she was thinking when she did it!
If she is laying on her belly, she is usually kicking her little legs just as fast as they'll go.
She learned to clap her hands, and acts so proud of herself, it's cute!
She has been eating like a champ the last few weeks. Lots of first experiences with foods the last few weeks - eggs, potatoes, watermelon, cheerios, carrots. She eats something at every meal with us now. She nurses every 3.5-4 hours during the day, and lately has been doing 5 hour stretches at night. It's a welcome change from last month, when she was waking every 3-4 hours, wanting to eat. I am hoping that since we are here in our new house, and she is settling in her new crib/room, those nighttime stretches will get longer. This mama could really use more than a few hours of sleep at one time!

Evie sprouted another tooth this last month, so that makes two little fangs on the bottom. She adores L & Z, and is so happy to have her Daddy around again. She loves to be with him, and usually ends up taking her hands on either side of his face, and patting his face - which usually results in him squinting his face all funny, and her squealing and acting all proud. It's cute. The past week, I'll plop her on the floor, with some toys around her, and a bin with the remainder of the toys a little bit aways. It's been a little game for her to make it to the bin, and knock it over, dumping all the toys out. She is a stinker, and we love her! Our sweet Evie B, or 'Ev-va-win', as Ezra calls her!
