Low-key, low-key, low-key.
I know I keep saying we've been having low-key weeks and weekends, but it really is the best way to describe our days lately. Lots of playtime on the porch, snuggling on the couch reading books or watching a movie (Dumbo is the latest fav!), taking leisurely (read: slow, because Mama waddles the pregnant lady waddle...) walks to the park, and naps for everybody.
We did make a trip to the Aquarium on Saturday, which was a lot of fun. I took my camera along, and of course, didn't snap a single photo. Oh well. The kids loved seeing the alligators and turtles and fish and penguins and sharks. They raced around, taking it all in, exclaiming about the fish swimming or the turtles being "cute!". It made us smile.
{The weeds flowers that the kids picked for me at the park - L insisted they go in a cup of water.}
Other than our Aquarium outing and heading to church yesterday morning, our weekend was quiet and relaxing and lovely. Much needed for all of us...I was particularly tired, and was able to get a lot of rest time in, which was good for my very pregnant body.
A little snapshot of what many of my mornings look like...early morning (lately it's been REALLY early mornings) reading with lit candles, weed-flowers, coffee in owl mugs, and quiet while the kids slumber on.
Our week is once again pretty laid-back. I have some housecleaning I want to get done, but other than that, we have no scheduled plans.
Unless you count waiting for our dear Baby #3 to arrive! Official due date: 3 days from today! Woot! Oh dear gigantor little babe...please come out soon...we are so eager to meet you!!!

ReplyDeleteIt's good to be laidback and low-key sometimes, especially right before the baby comes. How is everything going?
